Frequently Asked Questions

Do you meet with clients in-person or online?

Both options are available. For in-person visits, the office is conveniently located in Orange County and is central to Irvine, Newport Beach/Coast, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana and Tustin.

Are you in-network with insurance companies?

I am an out-of-network provider but can provide Superbills on a monthly basis to have costs reimbursed based on your out-of-coverage benefits.

Do you see children at your practice?

We provide parental support and can provide referrals for specific child therapists depending on your child’s needs.

How long will therapy take to notice a difference?

It varies based on each person’s experiences. If there are deep wounds/trauma that have been unresolved for numerous years - it may take several months to begin to notice any progress towards goals.

Do you provide pre-engagement counseling or pre-marital counseling?

Yes. Navigating through relationships can be difficult and deciding on taking the next-steps in planning for a future with a partner can seem daunting. Together, we can explore various factors such as culture, family dynamics, expectations, finances, hopes and values when planning for a long-term future.

What sets you apart from other therapists?

My own lived experiences of being a child of immigrants, a married woman with twin-boys who are elementary school age, a working mother, a person of faith who is committed to my own inner work influence the way I support my clients. While I draw from many different modalities to address clients’ concerns, I am attuned to client’s needs and collaborate together to find meaningful ways to experience change in your life’s seasons. I am also trained in Restoration Therapy which combines attachment theory and contextual family therapy. Another modality which has been immensely helpful is utilizing a trauma-focused approach called Brainspotting. This modality is a body/brain-based approach that is used to treat trauma, to help regulate your nervous system and rewire your neural pathways.

What is the ‘No Surprise Act Notice’ and Good Faith Estimate?

By law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service. You can also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 985-635-4040.
